Introducing Sentinel - your read-only bitcoin wallet
We are very excited to announce that we have released a companion product to Samourai Wallet today. We have noticed there is a pretty big gap in the market for a quick and easy way to monitor and accept payments into your offline cold storage bitcoin wallet. Utilising the often neglected XPUB defined in the BIP 32 spec, Sentinel is able to offer you extremely convenient management without risking your funds.
Simply scan the XPUB for any HD wallet with Sentinel and you will be able to monitor incoming transactions, display the current balance and display the next unused bitcoin address for receiving payments.
Sentinel shares a codebase with Samourai so we will be open sourcing both of these products at the same time. Head over to the Google Play store and check out Sentinel! Let us know what you think!
